Occupational, Speech & Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy


After surgery or an illness, you or your loved one may require physical therapy to help regain strength and mobility. Following your doctor's order, our therapists are able to provide:


  • A Physical Therapist Home Safety Assessment and Make Recommendations
  • Instructions for Proper Use of Walkers and Other Adaptive Equipment
  • Teach Transfers to and From Household Surfaces (From Bed to Chair, Tub, Toilet, and or Wheel Chair)
  • Create an Individualized Exercise Program That Help You or Your Loved One With Balance, Pain Management, Education, and Fall Prevention
  • Provide Gait Training


Occupational Therapy


You or your loved one may require occupational therapy to improve function of daily tasks. Our occupational therapists work with upper extremity injuries to maximize independence and as close to optimal functioning. They will help you or your loved one recover and improve the skills needed for activities of daily living. Areas of focus are bathing, dressing, hygiene, upper extremity function, meal preparation, cognitive training, and household tasks.


Our therapist will also:


  • Assess Your Home for Safety, Such as Poor Lighting, Tripping Hazards, Clutter, Handrails, Electrical Cords, Furniture, Etc. 
  • Help Set Up Your Kitchen With Attention to Storage and Accessibility
  • Assess Bathroom Needs for Grab Bars, Shower Seats Etc.


Speech Therapy


After surgery, stroke, or trauma, you or your loved one may need therapy to facilitate communication or manage swallowing disorders. This often involves retraining the person in breathing, swallowing, and muscle control. We also provide training to family members to allow better treatment synergy.


Our speech therapist will:


  • Assess Baseline Neuro-Cognitive Ability and Recent Memory, Problem-Solving, and Abstract Reasoning
  • Help With Safety Awareness in the Home
  • Treat Aphasia
  • Train Family on Communication Systems
  • Provide Strategy to Aid in Word Finding
  • Help With Interpretative Training of Maps, Prescriptions, Appointment Cards, Etc.
  • Provide Memory and Naming Strategies
